ZENITH PHONE Grand 735. (See line on back cover.) Also: POIRIER CAMILE, Pres Poirier Tent & Awning Co, r 2128 E 2d, ZENITH PHONE Grand 2000X. After Philamine's death in 1864, he continued hard farm work and learned shoemaking. He had little formal education and spoke mostly Frency. In 1864, he moved to Boston, Mass. and in 1865, he moved to St. Paul, Minn. On 8 Oct 1869, he married Margaret Lytel, and in 1871, she joined him in Duluth, Minn. Camile was the only shoemaker in Duluth for some years a became co-owner and later owner of Poirier and Nordstrom ("Best shoestore in Minnesota"). He made camping gear and developed the Poirier Tent and Awning Co. (413 E. Superior St.).
